My mail is *supposed* to be plain text Jonathan> :-( Yep :-) Jonathan> z : 1998N312z 18:34 I would guess that the line above is supposed to look like $BF|;~(B : 1998$BG/(B3$B7n(B12$BF|(B 18:34 but some mailer (not necessarily yours) stripped the high bits off of the leading bytes of Shift-JIS kanji turning them into Shit-JIS.
