Here is a strange one. On a Solaris 2.5.1 machine with an automounted file system from the my RH 5.0 box, I can't resolve symbolic links. On the Solaris box, it looks like the link do not point to anything: lrwxrwxrwx 1 andy users 13 Mar 3 22:14 alloca-conf.h@ But on the linux box, which is the NFS server, its fine lrwxrwxrwx 1 andy users 13 Mar 3 22:14 alloca-conf.h -> alloca-norm.h In the middle of writting this, I manually unmounted the volume. When it remounted, my link was resolved. Hmmmm Any ideas what might be happening?
