Craig, ICQ is a program that gives you a small window on your desktop, and tells you when others are online. It also provides chat, and video conferencing capability. Both of which I have used on both Windows and Macintosh machines. It's nice, since I use it to keep in touch with my parents in Malaysia, and my brother in Indiana.
