I would appreciate some Pine uses IMAP rather than POP. If you want all your email downloaded in bulk to your local system, you might find `fetchmail` useful. However, not downloading everything is a feature of IMAP, because: 1. you can access your old mail, with proper status, from another host; 2. you choose which messages to download (e.g., from a mailing list); 3. you choose which attachments to download. -- J.
