Thanks for the advice.  I haven't had any other problems with RedHat,
but this one has made me a little mad.  Right after I purchased Motif
2.0, and figured out that I was having problems with XFree86, they come
out with Motif 2.01 and didn't even bother to put any patches or
upgrades to 2.0 online.

RPM has an uninstall command <rpm -e [filename]> that works quite well. 
I haven't tried Lesstif but I will give it a try this evening.

I've thought about switching, but after looking at other packages
running on others systems, I decided to stay with RedHat.  There are too
many other functions built-in that I can't convince myself to live
without.
