I had (still have) problems setting up Applix Mail too.   It gives
an SMTP error when sending mail.  The POP client receives mail OK 
though : ).

The 60-day free online help from RedHat became one "sorry we're late -
we're right on it" after 3 weeks, then nothing.

That notwithstanding, the big plus with ApplixWare is the HTML
editor, and the M$ excel/word filters work well.
