Flex LM on REDHAT 4.0

Has anyone tried using GlobeTrotter lmgrd on kernels
greater than Kernel 2.0

I found that 
     lmhostid 
does not work(gives me blank as hostid)
but
   lmhostid -long
does give the correct hostid

Anybody any idea why ???



 When I do ifconfig

There is no eth0 .......I have an Ethernet card
but not using it ..Tried to load the module but to no
avail

any help here
