I found a cnprint site at: http://www.neurophys.wisc.edu/ftp/pub/cn/00readme.html ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 25 Nov 1996 06:50:38 -0500 (EST) From: Lester Barrows <barrows@example.com> To: craig@example.com Subject: Printing in Linux Just thought I'd drop a note, as to printing from Linux, I normally use a program called cnprint. It's definitely worth a quick search at Webcrawler or Altavista. CNPRINT is a nice way to print Japanese text... It basically turns the text file into postscript, using .hbf style fonts... I use 48 point fonts, which seem to print fine on my 360dpi ink jet (they don't look too terribly jaggy) ^_^ Anyway, its output works with the standard Ghostscript distribution, and it might be the easiest way to get Kanji printing under Linux... And btw, I happen to like the lame pictures :P Lester Barrows (Ryoga) | SysOp, |/~~| \ _|___ \`` barrows@example.com | Neo Area 88 | | | --+ | | www.oswego.edu/~barrows | Linux Inside! | |~~ | ,' ,' "On a clear disk, you can seek forever" __/ (l\_ _/ / / ----------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor will appear below ----------------------------------------------------------------- The TLUG mailing list is proudly sponsored by TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System.
