dip and modem init strings

Hi all,

Can someone point me to a good refernece on setting up modem init strings. A
friend gave me a Suntac 28.8 but didn't have any documentation on it. The
dip script dies between reset and dial and the only thing in between is send
so it must be the problem.

BTW Seyon dials out with no problems. Is there a way of finding out what
string it uses then give it to dip?
