Ghostscript and GNU CC 2.7.x

Addendum:

According to Peter Deutsch, you cannot build libg++ 2.7.x from scratch 
on Linux.  Don't even try to build either GCC 2.7.x or GS >3.33 if you 
have GCC 2.7.x installed, you will end up completely hosed for a C
compiler and your Ghostscript won't work properly either.

I haven't checked this personally.  ghost@example.com is very reliable 
however.
