I really had a great time at the June TLUG nomikai. I feel so lucky to have been in Tokyo when the event took place. The people I met were extraordinary.
Some of my old Linux friends from the US asked me to send them pictures and let them know how the event went. I wrote down some notes in a blog post.

As I organized my thoughts, I realized that change comes from helping other people, not from conflict.
The US media often pits one idea against another, portraying a dramatic conflict. However, I realized that people want to help each other. This idea of solving a problem and then helping others will have a bigger impact.
Some other things
- I wanted to write down more people's names, but I drank an extra 大 mug due to Cliff Miller's urging. Feel free to send me an email directly if you can identify more people in the pictures :-)
- I did not have a blog before, so I created one with the open source Quarto package and used a GitHub action to render from qmd to a web page at every push
