What issues did you see with Rakuten?I got a mobile SIM from Rakuten for a stationary wireless router (not portable) from IO Data for use in my bakery. At the bakery I have three use cases:(1) browse the web(2) receive and send email using an email client, so no server setup(3) access two remote controlled IP cameras to monitor my doughs as they fermentI noticed that about half the time, the cameras couldn't be accessed and the LED at the back was blinking then. And this persisted for days and sometimes even weeks. Then I noticed whenever this happened, several websites were also inaccessible, and many websites didn't work properly. For example, on some online shopping sites, I could browse the products and put stuff into the shopping cart, but I couldn't complete the order, or when I could complete orders, I couldn't contact the sellers over the built-in chat, or I couldn't contact customer service.Even Amazon failed to load at certain times. On websites like LinkedIn or Qura, it seemed to work, but when you clicked on an article with a photo, the article wouldn't open as it tried to load the photo and never completed doing so.Over time, I found more and more and more things that just didn't work whenever this weird state happened.I switched the SIM card out for another SIM card from IIJ which I use in my mobile phone, and EVERYTHING WORKED INSTANTLY JUST FINE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Putting the Rakuten SIM card back into the router and all those problems returned in an instant.CLEARLY A RAKUTEN ISSUE.But Rakuten customer service, or the excuse for customer service they have did not care at all. They said it was my problem not theirs. They did not even listen to anything I said. They always shifted blame away instantly, on the router, on the browser, on the operating system, whatever.Rakuten customer service SUCKS BALLZ. This company should be shut down. It is a fraud.I will throw a party if they ever go bankrupt. I promise.I hope this helps somebody to avoid the mistake of signing up with them.regardsbenjamin
