Oh dear! Fujitsu's systems are known for quite _literally_ driving people

Well, academic programmers are known world-wide for being, generally, bad
when it comes to actualy building a product, rather than just a bunch of
code that runs if you look at it just right. (There are always exceptions,
of course.)
