I'd just installed 15.10 on a new laptop(*), with the default Unity, and was about to switch over to Gnome Metacity or whatever as I'd done with earlier releases. >From what I'm reading about Ubuntu Gnome 3 it's a fresh install, and you can't easily upgrade/convert an existing 15.q0 installation. Or can you? Any advice/suggestions? Cheers Jim (*) I don't usually leap onto the latest releases, but this particular HP notebook has a Realtek WiFi card which runs into a bug in the earlier Ubuntu releases, in which it continually drops its connection. The bug persisted right up to 15.04, but seems fixed in 15.10. -- Jim Breen Adjunct Snr Research Fellow, Japanese Studies Centre, Monash University
