Appreciate your time reading this. Domo arigato.
If you check here, Red Hat people discussing this issue, among others
similar in the past:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1206936
Basically you have to add a "resume" statement with location for
hibernation to work (resume previous state) under FEDORA for many
versions now.
Your input much appreciated about this issue and possibilities why I
can't pull it off. One line of investigation I'm taking is this "GPT"
Master Boot Record that I formatted.
I mainly use "UUID" corresponding to "/dev/mapper/fedora-swap" obtained
from issuing command "blkid".
My hardware is new netbook kinda re branded from Taiwanese "OEM"
manufacturer "CLEVO". Possibly wacky "BIOS" with wacky stripped down
components, etc. You know the drill. But apart from this missing
hibernation, FEDORA is managing the job pretty well. That's why I went
for it. And it doesn't seem like "ACPI" or something.
Anyway. Red Hat people around here come out of the shadows and drop me a
line.
Fernando.
