Meeting information
 
   Date:  September 12, 2015 (Saturday)

   Presentations:
   1. Coroutines (by Benjamin Kowarsch)
   Coroutines are a multi-threading model that is a highly
   scalable alternative to preemptive threads. There is an
   interesting paper called "Revisiting Coroutines" by 
   De Moura and Ierusalimschy of the Polytechnic University 
   of Rio de Janeiro, and of Lua fame.

   This paper was the basis to redesign coroutines in Modula-2. 
   Benjamin will show how coroutines differ from preemptive 
   threads and what kind of support there is in different languages.

   2. PostgreSQL 9.4, 9.5 and Beyond (by Satoshi Nagayasu)
   Recently, PostgreSQL has succeeded in getting popularity 
   among web developers. In this talk, Satoshi will introduce 
   the new features in the latest release 9.4 (JSON, Analytics,
   Logical Decoding, etc.) to take advantages of the latest
   PostgreSQL advancement, and share a quick look in the upcoming 
   release 9.5. And he will also introduce his personal projects
   around PostgreSQL.

2. Auction (bring any gear that would would like to donate to TLUG) 

All Linux users and supporters of open source code and free software
are invited to attend this Tokyo Linux Users Group (TLUG) meeting.
Membership is open to anyone. There are no membership dues or entrance
fees.

After the meeting, we will continue chatting over a few beers.

TLUG is a non-profit, non-political organization established in June
of 1994 to exchange information on the use of Linux and Free Software
Foundation tools. TLUG has an active mailing list, home page, and
regular physical meetings. Discussions are primarily held in English,
but non-English speakers are encouraged to come and participate.
We especially want to encourage Japanese people to attend and will make
efforts to support a bilingual meeting.

TLUG generally hosts technical meetings every odd-numbered month on the
2nd Saturday, and a nomikai (social even at a pub) every even-numbered
month on the 2nd Friday.
