Say - Ryutaro!  Are you out there (reading this)?  In looking over
this very diverse and interesting thread you began with your query, I
kept thinking "I wonder what Ryutaro makes of all this...".
Considering the broad range of experience the people reading/writing
on this list have, if you have specific questions about the issue, it
would be interesting to see them.  Life experience education goes both
ways - young people ask those ahead of them how the path is, and older
people are shy to ask, but certainly wonder how the path behind them
has changed.  We all have something to learn from each other.

Well - maybe the subject is closed (in this thread) now, but I, for
one, would like to hear your take on the overall theme and how the
path looks from your point-of-view.  (And I mean "point-of-view" as a
location in life/space more than as another word for "opinion".)  In
any case, thank you for instigating a very interesting discussion.
