Hello fellow TLUGers, I've been seeking to extend my stay in Japan over the summer by means of an internship for a few months now, but haven't had any luck in getting an interesting offer yet. Thus, I decided to try and look for technical opportunities. Could somebody perhaps hint at places I could apply to? The main problem I find myself having is that apart from a few large corporations which post internship openings and corresponding contacts to apply to, it's generally hard to discover the companies' Human Resources contacts. What I am looking for is some sort of technical internship in the areas of system administration or IT controlling. My technical profile is as follows: Knows his way around in (Debian) Linux; can write passable C, Lua, Shell script, and a few other programming languages; has written mainly command line tools for Linux[1]; has no past job experiences in the field. I'm thankful for every suggestion. Best regards Jens. -- [1] Some repositories on Github: <https://github.com/2ion?tab=repositories> A tidier landing page for the same content: <http://2ion.eu>
