Anyone had trouble with Japanese when replying to craigslist anonymizing
email addresses?
I've had two people come back to say they are getting mojibake. My mail
had these headers:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
In one of them I was replying to their Japanese email, and I could read
their Japanese fine. I see they use these headers:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-2022-jp"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Natsukashii...
Surely Craigslist haven't gone to the trouble of setting up a mail
forwarding service that only works in the 20th century, and cannot cope
with UTF-8?
Could it be coincidence, and these two people are perhaps both using old
handsets that cannot deal with UTF-8?
