Re: [tlug] looking for a job

I applied more than a hundred last time I stayed in Japan (3 years ago, 2009 bad timing). I have very basic Japanese skills so I tend not to apply for job asking business level. Last month I got a phone interview and I was supposed to get an interview in Tokyo during my last visit, but it didn't happen, It got canceled last minutes by the recruiter :(

Would you guys say it's more likely to get a job directly applying to a company or through a recruiting agency?

I heard working visa sponsorship became less troublesome than 3 years ago. At the moment I don't have a working permit for japan, Is that a big handicap ?

Thanks Andrew, I'll give it a try.
