TLUG, I've got a Mythbuntu computer with a Hauppauge PVR-150 TV tuner card in it. A card which is analog and therefore just on the verge of being obsolete because of the new digital broadcast standard being implemented. I'm looking around to see if there are any options for replacing it, but so far... it doesn't seem promising. My understanding is that the digital format uses proprietary encoding, thus preventing non-mainstream manufacturers from making hardware that can access it, which pretty much pre-empts anything Linux compatible. This is something I asked on list about a year ago or so, but I thought it worth checking in again to see if anyone was more informed than me and knew of options worth investigating. Is there a way I can get my Mythbuntu box hooked up to Japanese broadcasting, or am I basically SOL? Any advice is greatly appreciated. -- Dave M G
