Installing poppler-data on Fedora seems to have enabled me to view it in
evince.  Semi-related--nothing worked with xpdf, however, doing yum search
poppler gave me a program called zathura, described as a lightweight pdf
reader--that was able to view it. 

Foxit's reader for Linux was also able to view it. 

XPDF gives me the error "Couldn't find a font for 'MS-PGothic' repeated
twice.
