I'm git challenged and a little confused about your suggestion "3) pull unencumbered contributions" "git pull" will automatically merge right? can I do "git fetch" see the changes and then git cherry-pick? So yeah the problem may not be gpl3 but rather my git skills. I apologize. Shawn
