This thing is ugly :) 1.6 is already ancient, and it looks like it has
some sort of custom interface, so expect slow updates. The best thing in
the near future is the Desire, but that comes with the Softbank network.
If you are really adventurous, get a Nexus One. It's unlocked and works
on the docomo network (probably others too). The biggest plus is that
the boot loader is unlocked too -- you can install anything you like,
without having to 'jailbreak' it. You won't get unlimited plan, though.
