[tlug] EXT3-fs: group descriptors corrupted

Hi,

I'm running CENTOS 5.3 and my wife reported the computer isn't working.

I'm seeing an EXT3-fs: group descriptors corrupted error and segfault on boot.

running fdisk on the / partion (fdisk /dev/sdb6) I get "the number of
cylinders for this disk is set to 9673 ...
this is larger thnan 1024... could be LILO ... or another OS"

Um, I don't think I've used LILO and don't have another OS, I think
I'll try the w command

Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by
w(rite).

If I set it up correctly, I think the home partition is not sdb6 so
guess I can live with losing the system.

Make sense?
