Thanks for responding.

Took me a while to get it because what you don't ever see when looking
at these files in Gnome is that they have a .desktop extension and they
are handled differently than other files.

Once I got that, I just copied and pasted from existing .desktop files
from the command line, and made modifications to create the ones I wanted.
