No smiley needed; there are a number of things in Ubuntu I'm not pleased
with. I'm certainly open to other ideas, but none of the other most
popular distributions seem to be any better.

(Note, BTW, I chose Ubuntu just because Bryan happened to be using it
and it seemed to work ok on his laptop. I'm not sure why he chose it,
but I doubt it was informed by a lot of research or experience.)
