Now much more interesting would be if any of the now numerous USB secondary displays[1] worked with Linux. Not only are these far slimmer than the Chumby, but you can put anything you like on it, even, say, using it for your IM to keep that off your main monitors. Some have touchscreens as well, and others run entirely off USB power.
