- Subject: [tlug] Self-introduction + Looking for Linux bloggers
Hi all,
Since I'm new to the list, a quick introduction of myself:
Originally from Germany, I came to Japan 2 1/2 years ago, as a Japanese
language student. I'm not much of a techie but I've used Linux as my
main desktop for a few years. Nice to meet you.
Right now, I'm working at Plat'Home Co., Ltd., a Linux server vendor in
Akihabara. Some here might have heard the company because they were the
first to sell Linux servers in Japan some 15 years ago.
This summer, my company will bring the new generation of their embedded
Linux servers to the market. It's a tough little PowerPC box about the
size of a 2.5'' drive. They're used as for network monitoring, data
collection and even as a Web appliance.
At the product launch, I'll have a stash of review devices I can lend
out to Linux users who want to give the box a test ride and write about
it on their blog or website.
If your're interested, drop me a message.
You can find our more about the devices here.

Cheers,
Martin
