I run debian amd64 on the desktop here, its serving well except for running the sun java browser plugin which i found only for 32bit browsers. Some distros like rhel5 x86_86 directly include the 32bit-firefox so after installation that can be used to run the plugin. Havent seen that for debian amd64. nspluginwrapper makes it possible to run some 32bit-plugins on a 64bit-browser, but seems like java is not one of those. For now i debootstraped a 32bit debian in a directory, for jre- usage i chroot in there and run the 32bit browser with plugin - this works but is a waste of diskspace. Someone having more elegant ideas to solve this? Christian
