The Tokyo Society for the Application of Currying, a functional
programming group, will have it's monthly meeting on Thursday,
June 29th.
This month Johan Berntsson will be giving a presentation on a project
he’s been working on in Lisp: a compiler that reads a protocol
definition file for Second Life (the on-line game), and outputs c# or
c++ code. In addition he’ll also demonstrate a fairly neat Lisp-mode
for vim to which he’s been contributing.
In addition, John Hughes, a major contributor to the definition of
Haskell and the author of QuickCheck and _Why Functional Programming
Matters_, will be in town in early June to give a course on QuickCheck
in Erlang. TSAC has arranged to have a dinner with him on Friday, June
9th; anybody interested in attending should contact Curt Sampson at
cjs@example.com
