I hate to say this, but if there were an alternative to Fedora that had
an up-to-date Gnome and could as easily let me remove the Mono virus
as completely as Fedora with:

yum remove libgdiplus

I'd consider switching :(

Other distros I've looked at want to remove half of Gnome if you try
to remove Mono :(
