I don't know about "pretty easy"--the sox manpage is one of those that inspired Scott, Jonathan, and I to start writing QnD Guides--but it certainly can do almost anything with an audio file. sox is an amazing tool once you get used to its somewhat idiosyncratic syntax. Toss it in a pipeline with stuff like mpg123 and oggenc, and you can have lots of fun. :) -- Cheers, Josh
