The O'Reilly SuSE LINUX book says:
"How to use Windows boot loader to dual boot:
1. Write 1st stage boot loader to root directory
2. Boot system using rescue disk
3. Peel off 1st 512 bytes of LINUX and write them to a file:
# dd if=/dev/hda2 of=linux.bin bs=512 count=1
4. Put this file on a floppy or memory stick.
5. Boot into Windows and copy it to the Windows partition.
6. Modify boot.ini to add
C:\linux.bin="LINUX"
Wonder if anyone knows if this works
for dual booting to LINUX on an external
USB-connected hard drive?
