TLUG,

I think I've just learned that I was using the wrong terminology. What 
I'm after is a "recommendation system".

I've just come across a site called wikilens.org, which is doing what I 
want.

However, while the source code is available, I'm still trying to get at 
a more of an overview of the theory, instead of the specific code.

So if anyone has tips and recommendations, I would still like to hear it.
