Yes, sadly Dell and Gateway don't offer OS-less machines. But primepc.jp
(and their Japanese site, http://www.dospara.co.jp/ ) do. XP Home and
Vista Home both add 12,000 yen to the price. Dospara has a Quad Q6600
2.4Ghz, 2Gb memory, 340G HD, etc, etc. machine for around 95,000 yen,
incl. tax and delivery [1]. (primepc.jp almost has the same machine, but
no option to just use on-board graphics, so their price is 14,000 yen more.)
