[tlug] Dependency is not satisfiable

TLUG,

It seems the package manager in Ubuntu has become inconsolable. I'm 
trying to unstall a newer version of Kdenlive, and it says:

Error: Dependancy is not satisfiable: libreetype6

I looked around via Google, and most people who report this problem 
indicate it's simply a missing package.

However, I checked in Synaptic, and I have libfreetype6 installed. So 
why would this be "unsatisfiable"?
