Heh, this was me, BTW.

The cables I mentioned were USB 2.0 cables, .75 or 2.0 metres long.
Softmap was selling them for 100 yen because they were the old models;
the new ones had translucent outer insulation and cost 600 - 850 yen,
depending on length.

Softmap might still have some, if anybody cares. It's a damned good price.
