Hi Alvarez.

Not absolutely certain what you're trying to do, I think you've got an HTTP problem, not a PHP problem.

First, I think you need:
header('WWW-Authenticate: Basic Server="Secured Area"');
...not
header('WWW-Authentication: Basic Server="Secured Area"');

Second, I wouldn't have thought the 
<P>You have hit the cancel button</P>
would show at all after a 401 header.

Not sure whether there's anything wrong with the rest...
