I really don't think a human being can work that way.  The best you
can hope to do is concentrate most of your attention on one at a time.

In case it is an one-man project, spiral may be safer. I guess Cook is
doing that way: he tries to make very small changes once at a time,
compile, test ... and repeat the same process.
