True. But on the other hand, if M$ *does* start (literally) putting its
money where its mouth is, you'll have heavyweight companies like Red
Hat, IBM, Google etc., all of which are supporters of Linux and Open
Source in general, showing up as further obstacles for M$ to get past.

Also, what happened last time M$ tried to spank the penguin (albeit
using a sock-puppet)?

Of course, M$ are probably tring to recover some of the money they lost
after being spanked themselves for MP3 patent infringement...
