[tlug] matching to filter logfile

Hi,

how can I match say "eth1" from /var/logs/messages so I can just get
output of the lines that contain that item

I don't want to post the whole file and need help to get networking up.

I used the logviewer to filter the items but when I highlighted and
copied them it returned unrelated lines (if I selected 4 lines - I got
the first 4 lines in the file -- odd eh)
