Or, more accurately, if it is listed there, it is not in terms that I can understand.dave@example.com:~$ /bin/uname -a Linux homebase 2.6.17.7 #1 SMP Mon Jul 31 15:50:28 JST 2006 i686 GNU/Linux dave@example.com:~$ /sbin/lsmod Module Size Used by xt_limit 2816 3 xt_tcpudp 3552 21 ipt_REJECT 5888 1 iptable_filter 3168 1 ip_tables 14612 1 iptable_filter nls_utf8 2272 0 nls_cp437 5920 0 vfat 13280 0 fat 55804 1 vfat xt_state 2336 6x_tables 15204 5 xt_limit,xt_tcpudp,ipt_REJECT,ip_tables,xt_statebinfmt_misc 12488 1vmnet 32940 13 vmmon 190904 0 rfcomm 39348 0 l2cap 24768 5 rfcomm bluetooth 51652 4 rfcomm,l2cap ip_conntrack_irc 6968 0 ip_conntrack_ftp 7996 0 ip_conntrack 51032 3 xt_state,ip_conntrack_irc,ip_conntrack_ftp nfnetlink 7160 1 ip_conntrack ppdev 9668 0 speedstep_lib 4996 0 cpufreq_userspace 4512 0 cpufreq_stats 6724 0 freq_table 4992 1 cpufreq_stats cpufreq_powersave 1952 0 cpufreq_ondemand 7692 0 cpufreq_conservative 7560 0 video 15428 0 container 4544 0 button 6640 0 battery 9540 0 ac 4900 0 dm_mod 58868 0 md_mod 81108 0 sr_mod 17092 0 sbp2 23112 0 ieee1394 302104 1 sbp2 lp 12192 0 wm8775 6188 0 cx25840 25008 0 tda9887 17392 0 ipv6 268256 51 joydev 10176 0 tuner 54700 0 v4l2_common 16224 1 tuner snd_usb_audio 77216 1 snd_usb_lib 16896 1 snd_usb_audio ivtv 201072 0 tsdev 8096 0 snd_rawmidi 25856 1 snd_usb_lib i2c_algo_bit 9736 1 ivtv snd_hda_intel 19220 6 snd_hda_codec 143536 1 snd_hda_intel v4l1_compat 14628 1 ivtv tveeprom 15248 1 ivtv usbhid 44416 0 videodev 9632 1 ivtv snd_seq_device 8524 1 snd_rawmidi snd_pcm_oss 43008 0 snd_mixer_oss 19040 3 snd_pcm_oss wacom 17824 0 snd_hwdep 9636 1 snd_usb_audio usb_storage 74432 0 visor 20140 0 usbserial 32908 1 visor psmouse 41032 0 nvidia 4546004 12snd_pcm 89156 5 snd_usb_audio,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_pcm_osssnd_timer 24068 2 snd_pcm serio_raw 7300 0 parport_pc 36784 1 parport 38824 3 ppdev,lp,parport_pc e1000 117016 0i2c_core 21856 8 wm8775,cx25840,tda9887,tuner,ivtv,i2c_algo_bit,tveeprom,nvidia snd 55232 18 snd_usb_audio,snd_rawmidi,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm,snd_timerpcspkr 3232 0 intel_agp 24636 1 soundcore 9984 3 snd snd_page_alloc 10472 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm agpgart 33736 2 nvidia,intel_agp shpchp 41728 0 pci_hotplug 31484 1 shpchp sg 36348 0 evdev 10432 2 ext3 143592 1 jbd 60276 1 ext3 mbcache 9092 1 ext3 ide_generic 1408 0 [permanent] ehci_hcd 33640 0 uhci_hcd 23692 0usbcore 132604 10 snd_usb_audio,snd_usb_lib,usbhid,wacom,usb_storage,visor,usbserial,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcdsd_mod 21600 3 ata_piix 12516 2 libata 72588 1 ata_piix scsi_mod 138892 6 sr_mod,sbp2,usb_storage,sg,sd_mod,libata ide_cd 42144 0 cdrom 38960 2 sr_mod,ide_cd piix 10756 0 [permanent] generic 4516 0 [permanent] thermal 13384 0 processor 26184 1 thermal fan 4772 0 vga16fb 12872 0 cfbcopyarea 4000 1 vga16fb vgastate 9696 1 vga16fb cfbimgblt 3136 1 vga16fb cfbfillrect 4384 1 vga16fb dave@example.com:~$ /bin/dmesg | tail[4396816.543000] usb 2-1.1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 52[4396816.664000] usb 2-1.1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice[4396816.667000] visor 2-1.1:1.0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter detected [4396816.668000] usb 2-1.1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB0 [4396816.668000] usb 2-1.1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB1[4397441.362000] usb 2-1.1: USB disconnect, address 52[4397441.362000] visor ttyUSB0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 [4397441.362000] visor ttyUSB1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1[4397441.362000] visor 2-1.1:1.0: device disconnected [4399120.821000] ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team -- Dave M G
