Well, I'm not quite as n00B as all that. However, it gave me an idea to suggest. I'm not saying there's anything intrinsically wrong with topics like customizing your own kernel, etc. However, most people have other things to do. Perhaps the meeting could have a segment for some mundane desktop task? Even in an environment like Ubuntu that's been deliberately streamlined with the intention of broadening its appeal, I still find there are lots of non-trivial things that are making it hard for me to get rid of Windows. Perhaps we could collect a list of such tasks and pick a couple of them to include in each technical meeting? Or perhaps it should be a deliberately less technical meeting?
