One thing the article did not mention is that XFS also has other advantages:
- Native ACL support from the first day it came to linux
- Supported files >2Gig from the beginning
- Extended Attributes
- Ability to grow the FS
- Snapshot
- It comes with a rock solid backup utility XFSDUMP that can do
incremental and full backups, with the ability to stop and resume
backups
I originally decided to use it based on the ACL support that is useful
for Samba servers, as well as the backup utility.
