Re: [tlug] Should we stop password protecting the TLUG archives?

Howdy all,
Sorry to join the discussion so late...

    Yes.

Some modicum of protection wouldn't be a bad thing although I
get enough digital spam anyways that a little more won't be a big
deal. I'm not sure I'm big into the image based approach. I think just
a simple chopping stuff after the @ mark is sufficient but I'm
not really biased to any particular solution except, "Something is better
than nothing."

I don't. My understanding of the TLUG mailing list is that it is a
public
(in a way) forum for exchange of information so one should try to act
appropriately. If this is actually a private mailing list between a small
set of individuals that is certainly news to me :)

    No opinion on this.

Yes. I think a notice to a potential new user isn't a bad thing at all.

Sounds like effort to pick out what's good...

I'm for the Wiki idea but I get this feeling that even with a very
low barrier to participate tool such as a Wiki the updates will be
sporadic. However, sporadic is better than none I think. And
perhaps the technical meetings might give some more incentive
for a flurry of sporadic updates to occur.
