Thanks! That was the intention, since the target audience of RGH were
people who had probably not done any C coding.

In my Software Engineering class[1] at uni, we had to do a group
project. The professor had actually worked in industry some (which is,
as Steve will probably tell you all-too-readily, kind of rare in
academic circles), so he picked the groups by having us all submit
resumes / CVs, and grouping like-minded people together. I was lucky
enough to be grouped with the other bad-asses in the class (trust me,
in my graduating class, I was one of the proverbial Big Fishes in the
Little Pond), and we produced a slick LAMP app that blew the prof away
at the end of the semester. Our group number was 4.
Next semester, I took Operating Systems, [2] where we also had group
projects, but we were allowed to pick our own group. So one other guy
from the Software Engineering class and I picked up two other good
coders, and requested that we could be Group 4 again. Again, we ruled
(in this case, the prof announced that our submission was the best by
far), this time implementing OS subsystems in the NACHOS framework.

We also made a very lewd T-shirt, which I will post pictures of on my
website for the not-so-easily offended. The professor was given a
copy, and he actually wore it during the final exam, as did the four
members of Group 4.
So Group 4 is basically the geek version of a gang. ;)
Cheers and off-topically-yours,
Josh
