[tlug] OT: YALQ: name of small kana following large kana

YALQ (yet another language question)

What are the small a, i, e, etc kana characters called?
For example, the a ァ in ファイル fairu = file.

Do the combination of large kana + small following kana ファ have a special name?

The small ya in kya きゃ seems to be called youon 拗音

Best regards,
jimb.
