Often if you call them, and can reach a human being, they'll do
something for you in a case like that. The difficulty is, for example,
reaching a human being at Seagate. (Though sometimes email works.)
I called them and said, c'mon, 3 days? They gave me the $20.00 upgrade,
though I had to wait a month for the CD.
It depends upon the company, of course, but it's worth trying.
