technically there's no need to use XIM anymore...
gtk2 based programs (like gnome-terminal or firefox) can use gtk2 input
modules which work much better...

there are many input methods, fedore seems to prefer iiimf.
so i would recommend you to use iiimf.
add the gimlet applet to the taskbar, and with that you should be able
to switch the languages easily..

the same as above. you should try to use the gtk2 based im stuff.
i personally use something like: "GTK_IM_MODULE=uim firefox", but
for you it will be a little different.


my problem with writing this reply is that i know what variables have to
be set and so on,but i don't know how exactly fedore does this
